Ex-Agitators Endorse Hon. Selekebina Saboh for Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency in 2027.

By Gabriel Ukuta

Former agitators under the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Phases 1, 2, and 3 in Bayelsa State have declared their support for Hon. Selekebina Saboh as their preferred candidate for the Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was made during a gathering of ex-agitators from Sagbama and Ekeremor Local Government Areas, where the leaders described Hon. Saboh as a philanthropist, seasoned politician, and community leader with the vision and capacity to deliver quality representation for the constituency.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the ex-agitators said their decision was based on Hon. Saboh’s track record of leadership, integrity, and grassroots acceptance. They noted that he had shown capacity in positions of trust, including as chairman of Ekeremor Local Government Area, and has remained consistent in his commitment to the development of Bayelsa West.

“Hon. Selekebina Saboh possesses a deep understanding of our constituency, its needs, and its challenges. He has consistently demonstrated compassion, integrity, and the ability to bring people together. We are confident that if elected, he will promote transparency, address pressing issues, and ensure development for Sagbama and Ekeremor people,” the communique stated.

The ex-agitators, led by Generals Aso Tambo Kpala, Jerimiah Timothy VIP, Alhaji Letugbene, Stephen Okiemo, Dengo Benin, Gowon Abenzi, Ebide Brown, and Julius Belemu, further rejected calls for zoning of political offices within Bayelsa West, insisting that the era of zoning was over.

They stressed that their endorsement was not influenced by partisan considerations, but by their conviction that Saboh is the best candidate to provide assertive and people-oriented representation at the National Assembly.

The group called on elders, youths, women, and all stakeholders in Sagbama and Ekeremor to rally behind Hon. Saboh in the interest of unity and progress.

“Our people are yearning for quality representation. Hon. Saboh is the best we have to offer at this time, and we urge everyone to shun divisive propaganda and support him for a brighter future for Sagbama/Ekeremor,” the statement concluded.

Reasons why Political Actors Detract from Senator Dickson

By Gabriel Ukuta In a political terrain that is often characterized by lofty promises, unfulfilled pledges, and leaders who drift away from their people once elected into office. Senator Henry Seriake Dickson in the midst of this familiar pattern, has carved out a reputation that sets him apart: he is a promise-keeper, a leader who matches words with action, and a representative deeply rooted in the lives of his people. This unique approach to politics is precisely why certain political actors in Bayelsa West often attempt to detract from his leadership. His style of governance and representation is not built on empty slogans but on visible results, loyalty to his people, and consistency in fulfilling his commitments. Such authenticity in leadership naturally unsettles those whose politics thrives on deception and opportunism. At the National Assembly, Senator Dickson has continued to distinguish himself. His voice is firm and consistent on issues that concern not only Baye...
